“Infants who spend more than two hours in front of the television are more likely to be bullied in later life because they do not develop the social skills to engage with other children. Child experts have warned that being glued to a television makes youngsters more shy, less able to form friendships and unable to maintain eye contact with peers. They also have less time to play which builds up creativity and social interaction skills. The University of Montreal study found the number of hours spent watching TV at the age of 29 months was linked to the likelihood they will be bullied when they are aged 11 to 12 before moving on to secondary school. It is recommended children over two should watch no more than two hours a day.”(more)
