U.S. News and World Report – Mark Shriver

“The 2017 U.S. News and World Report Best States report is insightful, drawing up thousands of data points to rank all 50 states on a wide range of issues, including education, health and economic opportunity. Unfortunately, the metrics used in the report underemphasize the importance of early learning. This is a mistake because neuroscience research shows that the vast majority of a child’s brain is developed in the first five years of life. This, in turn, has a dramatic effect on the quality of life in each state.”(more)
