UT San Diego – Karen Pearlman

“Six classrooms of third-grade students, 140 kids in all, will get to enjoy the wilderness, camping and the great outdoors in June. Thanks to the La Mesa-based Jarrett Meeker Foundation, third graders at Central Elementary School in City Heights for the sixth year in a row will enjoy life away from the city. Since 1987, the foundation has provided outdoor educational experiences to more than 100,000 children representing more than 50 schools throughout San Diego County.”(more)
