Infographic: The Impact of STEM Education on Students

Nonprofit Quarterly – Aine Creedon

“A nonprofit social enterprise, First Book, has put together an infographic to highlight the importance of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) in education. 1. Greetings Renascence School,

I represent the International Center for Professional Development (ICPD) and would like to learn more about your programs. We serve a variety of biotech corporations by providing mentorship opportunities to under represented minorities, in the United States, through our Scientist Mentoring and Diversity Program (SMDP). If you know of graduates of your program (i.e. Hispanic graduate students who are also American citizens) studying to earn their Ph.D. in the United States and are interested in working for a biotech or biomedical corporation, please contact us, at or

Also, we offer a full battery of STEM learning lessons online through our web series,, at The STEM learning is informal through the adventures of teen actors including a Hispanic student named “Daisy”. We will be offering lesson plans that will accompany these eleven, five minute episodes, which follow five coming of age teen actors with their day to day life situations through a family friendly, situational comedy script.

I look forward to corresponding with your school in the future. Please email me at so that I can learn more about your program.

    Kind Regards,
    William R. Staplin, Ph.D.
