Outside the Box – Honey Nixon

Students have been working hard all year to expand their artistic horizons under the careful eye of Kim Griffin, a Panama City Renaissance School Artist in Residence. Participants began their journey last semester by learning design basics such as form, balance, perspective and composition. Ms. Griffin then guided them through the basics of sketching. After the children learned to see objects more critically, they put their brushes to the canvas creating watercolor, latex and acrylic artwork. A special thank you to Ms. Griffin for encouraging PCRS students to trust their instincts during the creative process. This approach has truly encouraged some beautiful works of art!
