“With school getting underway, after-school routines that have gone by the wayside over the summer begin to be put back into practice. Those routines may begin to give kids more responsibility than perhaps they had in years past. This is because there is quite a difference in maturity when transitioning from elementary to middle school. And as a result of this responsibility being given, parents should no longer need to remind tweens what to do after school. Instead, middle schoolers should be able to follow a checklist to know what needs to be completed before busy school night dinners, something that will become second nature in no time flat.” (more)
