“February is the only month of the year that has less than 30 days. Curious kids ask this question every year and their moms may be saying they’re not sure. February only has 28 days, except in a leap year when it has 29 days. Every other month has 30 or 31 days. Because it’s the shortest month of the year, February can be thought of as the least important month. Really though, t’s a great month. This month we celebrate Valentine’s Day and Black History Month. There’s a real reason why it’s shorter than the other 11 months. It goes all the way back to when the modern calendar was first being developed, and it’s all because of an old superstition.” (more)
