“It turns out kids may not be as resilient as we’d like to think they are. The American Academy of Pediatrics released a new policy report this month that focuses on the impact chronic stress has on children, based on two decades of research.Among other things, the report notes “early experiences and environmental influences can leave a lasting signature on the genetic predispositions that affect emerging brain architecture and long-term health.'”(more)
