“As health professionals we are alarmed, dismayed and disappointed by the latest evidence, contained in a new report by Save the Children that 5 million children in the UK could be living in poverty by 2020 (Report, 28 May). The rising statistics and research bear out what we are seeing on a day to day basis: more children with symptoms which are clearly linked to lower standards of living, such as asthma, bronchitis and anxiety-related illnesses.”(more)
