“A key point in the study: Victims of bullying are often kids without friends to defend them. They are kids who eat lunch alone. (I have interviewed enough experts and victims of bullying to see school cafeterias are social minefields. I am unsure why schools don’t minimize the opportunity for exclusion by requiring students eat lunch in the classrooms or by assigning cafeteria seating.)”(more)
