“The mayor announced $480,000 in private and federal grants that will send Chinese-speaking Chicago Public Schools students to China to further their education and teach other students back in Chicago how to speak Chinese. The mayor, who leaves office next month, in recent years has spoken admiringly of China’s rapid expansion of its economy and all the public infrastructure projects that have fueled that growth.”(more)
