“The real problem, as I see it, is that the definitions of the words, “education” and “learn” have blurred to the point that they are synonymous. However, to educate means, “for someone to train someone else.” To learn suggests that the training comes from within. This means that learning is active (one feeds oneself), whereas education is passive (someone else feeds you). Thus… the “emphasis in education should be on learning, not education.””(more)
