“Myonia Hill’s successful journey through education in Washington, DC is owing to Friendship Collegiate Academy, part of the first and largest black led charter school network in the country. Located in what was once a dangerous neighborhood, Collegiate’s approval as a charter school, its development and its growth turned the area from one of crack houses and liquor stores to a safer and more desirable community.
