“Headteachers who force students to repeat classes will be interdicted. . . . The children were forced to repeat classes so they can get good grades during their final examinations. ‘Such administrators do not clearly understand the role of an exam,’ said the Education secretary, Prof George Godia, at the same function. Examinations should not be used as a basis for promotion to the next classes, but as a chance to review curriculum delivery.”(more)
