“Mental health in fifth graders is something that needs to be nurtured. This is because according to the Centers for Disease Control, good mental health is what helps kids, including tweens, develop social and emotional skills. Without good mental health, coping skills and quality of life can be affected, per the publication. This in turn causes tweens to have changes in the way they learn or behave. This is something of which can have long-reaching effects on the educational and social future of this population. This is why is it not enough to make sure that there are not any mental disorders, but that mental health is in tip-top shape as fifth graders age from tweens into teens in just a few short years.” (more)
