“Since the Columbine High School shootings happened in April 1999, it seems as if school shootings are happening on a regular basis. In fact, in the past 20 years, there have been almost 250 school shootings reported with 11 of them considered as mass shootings. This shockingly high number doesn’t even include shootings that have happened at Colleges or Universities. While it’s true that not all of these shootings have been as tragic as Columbine or Sandy Hook, the idea of any gun violence at school is a cause of concern for parents and their school-aged child.” (more)
