Position Summary:
• Teach elementary school math and science
• Reinforce elementary school math and science during after school program and assist other teachers in their classrooms as necessary.
• All instruction will be in English
Key Requirements:
• Passion for math and science
• Minimum of BA/BS or equivalent in engineering, math, physics or chemistry
• Strong English language arts, math and science skills
• Non-teaching work experience desirable
• Native speaker of English
• Creative, engaging teaching style
• At least 2 years of teaching experience
• Minimum of 100 hours of experience with preschool/elementary school children desirable
Compensation:
• 190 day assignment
• Part-time (4 hrs/day)
• Starting compensation package – salary; negotiable
• Potential to move into a full-time position with benefits
• Tuition discount for children of faculty member – 50% full-time / 25% part-time
• Free childcare for children three years and older during before and after school program hours
• Opportunities for annual performance based raises
• Possibility of augmeting salary with summer assignment (July and August)
