While knowing how to read may not be “the only thing” important to the average person’s well-being, the ability or inability to read can and usually does have a profound effect on just about everything else in life. For children, whether they are newborns just learning to sense the world around them or teenagers starting to find their way as young adults, learning and using the buildings blocks of reading are essential, and experts say that learning and practice should never stop, no matter how young or old one is.”(more)
