Outside the Box – Deborah Durbin

On February 11, Panama City Renaissance School students attended the St. Andrews Bay Quilters’ Guild Quilt Show, held in the hall of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Several students completed a scavenger hunt made by Ms. Durbin and were tasked to find shapes, animals and patterns. Students found skunks, flags, Christmas carols, and even counted hexagons (last count was over 2 thousand!). Level 10 students used their math skills to count the total number of squares in a nine patch. A special thanks to the St. Andrews Bay Quilters’ Guild for extending a warm welcome to our students.
