“This new bill would add the mentoring requirement to the tenure attainment process recently proposed by Governor Christie. Ruiz’s plan echoes the governor’s in making it easier, cheaper and faster to revoke tenure from a teacher with poor ratings. Ruiz’s plan would require that local evaluation tools be approved by the state Department of Education.” (more)
