“For all the labour-market pain, some areas are experiencing a strong rebound. But it is hard to be optimistic about this particular recovery. Geographical variation is partly to blame. More than ten percentage points separate the nation’s highest unemployment rate, in Nevada, from its lowest, in North Dakota, and in some regions rates are still rising. Elsewhere growth has been stronger than average, but highly concentrated.”(more)
