“Tweens should not be using devices during the hour leading up to bedtime. This is not to punish kids but instead, it is to help them get the most restful night of sleep possible. Unfortunately, too many tweens are on their phones, computers, or watching television right before bedtime, like many adults are and because of it, they suffer from going to be late, sleepless nights, or even sleep deprivation. And because sleep is so incredibly important for this age group, doing everything possible to ensure that happens is necessary, including not allowing device usage an hour before bed.” (more)
