Outside the Box – Deborah Durbin
On February 26, the L10, L20, L30 and L60 Chinese classes met at a local restaurant to have a science and culture lesson. Ms. Xia, Ms. Zhang, and Ms Xia’s husband taught the students how sound and vibration are connected. The entire lesson was conducted completely in Mandarin Chinese. The students listened to a musical performance on traditional Chinese instruments and sang songs to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Afterward, the students and families were invited to have dinner in the restaurant and the students were encouraged to order in Chinese! A special thanks to the Wu family for generously hosting our students at China Coast Restaurant.
