All three are in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) professions: a behavioral scientist, a mathematician and an engineer. Yet the number of women equipped with STEM skills is shrinking. Failing to check this trend is a significant barrier to increasing the number of female leaders, and it can put the nation at a disadvantage. It’s not simply a question of evening up the numbers.
